Homeless Outreach

Standing behind the mobile feeding kitchen, Jim helps pass out bananas and beverages to cohorts in a similar situation to his own. “I come out to the The Salvation Army’s breakfast on Tuesday mornings and then for dinner on Friday nights under the bridge, not only to get my main meal of the day, but also to help the Army serve the overwhelming number of people that are hungry. It is my way of giving back.”

Our mobile disaster kitchen serves 200-400 meals weekly during our Tuesday morning Breakfast Brigade on Main Street and Friday night Soup Wagon ministry under the Jefferson Street Bridge.  Volunteers are recruited to prepare and serve each meal.
